FOUNDER. COACH. MENTOR. MENOPAUSE PRO AND LICENCED CHAMPION. CORPORATE CAREER NAVIGATING MIDLIFE.

Darlene Schroeder, founder of Kyndara, is a former transformation and business change leader with extensive experience working at executive level across a breadth of industries. Throughout her career, she has led complex transformation programmes, supported organisational culture change, and worked closely with leadership teams to navigate periods of pressure, uncertainty and workforce transition.

Her work has always centred on helping people adapt, perform and thrive through change, leading her to focus more deeply on the workplace experience of midlife professionals — particularly high-performing women balancing demanding careers,  with significant life personal transitions.

Darlene retrained as a specialist midlife coach, Licensed Menopause Champion and Pro Member, and Workplace Mediation combining her transformation expertise with practical coaching and workplace wellbeing. Through Kyndara, she works with both organisations and individuals to create more sustainable, human-centred approaches to support longevity, performance, wellbeing and transition — supporting both the individual and the wider culture around them.

  • A Fractional Menopause Champion is a part‑time menopause specialist who helps organisations create menopause‑inclusive workplaces through expert guidance, policy development, manager training, and confidential employee support—improving retention, wellbeing, and performance without the cost of a full‑time hire

  • A Fractional Midlife Champion is an experienced expert embedded within your organisation on a part-time, retained basis — not a one-off project consultant. They provide ongoing 1:1 support for employees and your managers, advise on policy development, support culture change initiatives, and sit alongside your People and Executive team to build lasting structural change.

It is the affordable alternative to a full-time senior wellbeing hire — giving organisations the expertise, continuity and strategic direction they need, at a fraction of the cost.

  • Absolutely — and this is an important point. The challenges facing midlife professional women are not unique to any one sector. Kyndara works with organisations across healthcare, education, the public sector, legal, financial services, the charity sector, professional services and beyond.

If you employ professional women in their 40s and 50s — you need Kyndara. The sector matters far less than the commitment to doing this properly. All programmes are designed around your specific organisation, workforce and culture, not a generic off-the-shelf model.

  • Text coaching is professional coaching delivered entirely by written message — no video calls, no scheduled appointments, no rearranged diary. You write to your coach once a day at a time that suits you — on your commute, at lunchtime, in the evening — and receive a thoughtful, personalised response within 24 hours on every weekday.

Kyndara uses this model because the women it serves are busy, high-performing professionals whose lives don't bend easily around fixed Zoom appointments. Text coaching also has a unique depth advantage: writing about what you're experiencing promotes reflection and clarity in a way that spoken conversation doesn't always allow. Over 8 weeks, clients report significant shifts in clarity, confidence and direction — often saying the written format helped them articulate things they had never been able to say out loud.

  • No — and the distinction matters. Therapy and counselling are clinical disciplines focused on healing psychological distress, often working through past experiences and trauma. They are appropriate and important for mental health conditions and are delivered by qualified clinicians.

Coaching is forward-focused: it works with where you are now and where you want to get to, using structured frameworks, goal-setting, reflection and accountability to create meaningful change. Kyndara's coaches are trained midlife and menopause specialists, not therapists. If at any point a client would benefit from clinical support, a Kyndara coach will always signpost appropriately. Many women find coaching and therapy powerfully complementary.

  • Kyndara's individual programmes are designed for professional women in midlife — typically in their 40s, 50s and 60s — who are navigating perimenopause, menopause, a significant career transition or workplace career shift.

Many clients are high-achieving, capable women who have functioned at a high level for years — and simply notice that something has shifted. Confidence feels less solid. Clarity feels harder to reach. A decision they would once have made easily now feels murky. That is more than enough reason to seek structured support. The earlier you engage, the faster and more effective the progress tends to be.

  • A midlife identity shift is extremely common in professional women in their 40s and 50s, and is often closely linked to hormonal change, career transitions, relationship changes, or the point at which children leave home. It can manifest as a persistent sense that "something isn't right", loss of motivation for a career that once felt meaningful, disconnection from your sense of self, or deep uncertainty about what comes next.

  • Kyndara is built on a dual expertise most providers simply don't have. Founder Darlene Schroeder has worked at executive level as a Business Transformation Leader across multiple industries — and retrained as a specialist midlife coach and Licenced Menopause Champion after navigating her own perimenopause while leading complex programmes at pace.

This means Kyndara understands both sides: the individual woman's experience from the inside, and the organisational systems and culture levers that determine whether women thrive or leave. Most providers address one or the other. Kyndara addresses both — and connects them. For organisations, this means culture change grounded in real transformation expertise. For individuals, this means coaching from someone who genuinely understands what it means to be a senior professional navigating midlife.

  • es. Kyndara's primary markets are the UK and Ireland, with a particular understanding of the legislative and cultural landscape in both. All individual coaching programmes are delivered by text and are therefore fully location-independent — clients can be anywhere.

Organisational programmes and the Fractional Midlife Champion service are available remotely for distributed or hybrid teams, or in-person within the UK and Ireland. We are happy to discuss arrangements for organisations based internationally — please use the enquiry form to get in touch.
